How Viserion Looks Like

Viserion’s horns, wing bones, and spinal crest are all gold, but most of his scales are cream. His teeth look like sharp black blades. His claws are black and very sharp. His flame is pale gold with red and orange spots. His eyes are two pools of molten gold. Their roar is so loud that it would scare a hundred lions away.

People often call him “the white dragon,” even though his real color is cream. Wisps of smoke come out of his nose. His blood glows gold and red when he is hurt.

Events Where Viserion Appeared and Journey to the End

A Game of Thrones

Daenerys Targaryen gets multiple gifts from Magister Illyrio Mopatis at her wedding, including three frozen dragon eggs. The pale cream egg of Viserion is gold streaked with gold.

The maegi Mirri Maz Duur says that you have to give life to bring it into the world. The birthing of Viserion, along with his brothers Drogon and Rhaegal, is caused by Daenerys setting Drogo’s body on fire, Mirri Maz Duur and the three eggs.

A Clash of Kings

Viserion is on Daenerys’ shoulder when she calls her people together and gets on her silver mare. She is wearing her lion skin. He digs his sharp black claws into the lion’s mane and wraps his tail around her arm as she tells her khalasar to follow the Red Comet.

An amazing sight in the old city of Qarth when Daenerys comes is Viserion and the other dragons. Viserion, the Usurper, is on Daenerys’ back as soon as she hears of the death of King Robert Baratheon. He flaps his cream-colored wings, which makes the air move.

A Storm of Swords

Viserion is somewhat big, like a small dog. Irri frees Viserion to attack the Good Masters at Astapor, where Daenerys has the Unsullied attack their former masters. Viserion likes the captain of the sellsword, Ben Plumm, and will sometimes land on Plumm’s shoulder.

A Dance with Dragons

Viserion and the other dragons act badly and become wild while they are in Meereen. Reznak mo Reznak’s tokar gets lit on fire by Viserion.

Viserion can tell that Daenerys is worried about the Sons of the Harpy as she goes out onto the balcony of the Great Pyramid. He’s wrapped around a fruit tree and lying down with his head on his tail. Viserion takes off, and she sees him fly in loops that get bigger and bigger until she can’t see him anymore beyond the black water of the Skahazadhan.

Because Drogon killed a girl outside of Meereen, Daenerys locked Viserion and Rhaegal up in the Great Pyramid, which she used as a fake “dragon pit” below the city. Daenerys himself lead viserion to the pit, where he is locked up with a few cows. He was chained after he ate too much and fell asleep.

After that, Ser Barristan Selmy takes Daenerys to see the dragons in the Great Pyramid’s pit. He had been riding on her shoulder not long ago, with his tail wound around her shoulder, and she had fed him pieces of burned meat from her hand. She later thinks to herself that Viserion and Rhaegal are becoming more and more savage as she speaks with Daario Naharis.

Viserion has broken one chain and melted the others – Daenerys notices this when she takes Prince Quentyn Martell to see her dragons. He is holding on to the pit’s roof like a huge white bat, his claws digging deep into the burned and falling apart bricks.

After Daenerys rides off on Drogon and disappears, Prince Quentyn gets the Windblown to help him steal a dragon. Quentyn realizes Viserion is making a cave in the rock that is large enough to sleep in. Viserion shows up, and as he looks for Daenerys, he is first drawn to Pretty Meris.

As Quentyn tries to calm him, a Brazen Beasts crossbowman shoots a weapon at Viserion, killing the man. With a whip, Quentyn tries to control Viserion. Rhaegal is behind Quentyn, though he doesn’t know it. The green dragon lets out his fire, which kills Quentyn.

The two dragons flee in the aftermath after the iron doors are left open. It is said that Viserion lives in the tower of Uhlez. Sometime later, while on the rooftop of the Great Pyramid, Ser Barristan sees pale wings moving above a line of hills in the east that are beyond the city walls.

The Winds of Winter

Viserion and Rhaegal are both pulled to the battle as the Second Siege of Meereen starts. Viserion soars above the battle that is being fought beneath the city. Tyrion Lannister steps out of his tent after wearing his armor and sees some of the Second Sons gawking up at the white dragon.

As Viserion tries to eat the corpses that the Wicked Sister is throwing through the sky, some are bursting into flames. The Yunkish horsemen catch fire as some of the burning corpses fall to the ground, causing confusion and fear to spread. Viserion has already flown back to its home on top of the tower of Uhlez by the time Ben Plumm gets back from meeting with Malazza, the Girl General.
