Anthony Flanagan as Ser Steffon Darklyn
He was a knight from House Darklyn and a member of the Kingsguard. He was one of seven Darklyns who worked for the order. Guythor Darklyn, the Lord of Duskendale, was his uncle. He used to be a squire to Ser Harrold Darke, who is indirectly related to the Darklyn family.
During the rule of King Viserys I Targaryen, Ser Steffon was in the Kingsguard. In the beginning of the Dance of the Dragons, he ran away from King’s Landing and joined Rhaenyra Targaryen on Dragonstone when her half-brother Aegon II Targaryen took the Iron Throne. Steffon arrived at Dragonstone in the middle of the night with his squire, two servers, four guardsmen, and Viserys’ crown, which made it possible for Rhaenyra to be crowned queen.
He was the first Lord Commander of Rhaenyra’s Queensguard. While the Sowing was going on, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon called for dragon riders. Steffon tried to get on Seasmoke, but the dragon burned him to death. Ser Lorent Marbrand took over as Lord Commander after him.
