Ryan Corr as Ser Harwin ‘Breakbones’ Strong

Harwin Strong was a knight from House Strong and the heir to Harrenhal. He was also known as Breakbones. He was also a captain in King’s Landing’s City Watch. Harwin is said to have been dating Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Some people think he is the father of her three boys with her first husband, Ser Laenor Velaryon: Jacaerys, Lucerys, and Joffrey.

How He Looks Like, Appearance and Character

In his time, Breakbones was said to be the biggest man in the Seven Kingdoms. People told me he was huge and hard to beat.

Ser Harwin ‘Breakbones’ Strong in His Time

In the year 105 AD, Ser Harwin, his younger brother Larys, and two sisters were brought to court by their father, Lord Lyonel Strong. He was made a captain in King’s Landing’s gold cloaks.

He was one of many lovers who went to see Rhaenyra Targaryen, the Princess of Dragonstone, in 112 AC.

Mushroom said that in 113 AC, Harwin was coming back to the Red Keep from a night out in the city when he met Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, who had been rejected. She found comfort in his company and they fell asleep together the following day.

In the year 114 AC, Princess Rhaenyra showed Harwin her favor at the tournament honoring her wedding to Ser Laenor Velaryon. Ser Criston Cole broke his collarbone and his elbow in that tournament. Mushroom made fun of him by calling him “Brokenbones” after this happened. From then on, Harwin was always by Rhaenyra’s side and the most important black member.

Based on Septon Eustace, Rhaenyra’s second boy, Lucerys, was born in late 115 AC. Ser Laenor, Rhaenyra’s husband, and Breakbones were both at her bedside. After the fight with Queen Alicent Hightower and the greens got too much for Rhaenyra, she moved to Dragonstone. As her sworn defender, Breakbones went with her.

If Prince Aemond Targaryen called Rhaenyra’s sons “Strongs” and a fight broke out in 120 AC, King Viserys I Targaryen took Harwin off as Princess Rhaenyra’s defender and sent him back to Harrenhal. Ser Erryk Cargyll of the Kingsguard took his place. In the same year, Harwin and his father, Lord Lyonel Strong, died in a fire at Harrenhal.

People said the fire happened by mistake and said the curse of Harrenhal caused it. Other non-magical suspects were Prince Daemon Targaryen, who wanted to get rid of a rival for Princess Rhaenyra’s love; Lord Corlys Velaryon, who wanted to get back at Harwin for cheating on his son with another woman; Harwin’s brother Larys, who wanted to claim Harrenhal’s inheritance; and King Viserys I, who wanted to get rid of the man who brought shame on his House.
