He was a knight from House Lonmouth, known as the Knight of Kisses. He lived during the rule of King Viserys I Targaryen. Solly McLeod plays Joffrey in the TV version of House of the Dragon.
Ser Joffrey Lonmouth Character and History
Ser Laenor Velaryon, the heir to Driftmark, was said to be seeing Joffrey. Laenor Velaryon loved Ser Joffrey and had him as a friend. Joffrey rode as Laenor’s champion in the tournament at her wedding to Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, while Ser Harwin Strong rode for the princess. Ser Criston Cole hit him with a Morningstar during the tournament and broke his armor.
He died six days later without waking up again. Laenor never left his side and cried when he died. Lord Corlys Velaryon, Ser Laenor‘s father, told him he couldn’t name his first son Jacaerys after him. James, Laenor’s third boy, was named after him instead.
