Ser Qarl Correy History, Appearance and Character
It was said that Ser Laenor Velaryon loved Qarl, who was not very important. He liked to bet.
Laenor had always liked the handsome men who worked for him, and he probably thought of them as lovers. Ser Joffrey Lonmouth was the first well-known knight. Later, Laenor’s third son, Prince Joffrey Velaryon, was called after him. The people of Laenor changed their minds about Ser Qarl Correy after Ser Joffrey died.
Qarl killed Laenor because they got into a fight at a fair in Spicetown. We don’t know what caused the fight. After getting away, Correy was never seen again. According to The Testimony of Mushroom, Prince Daemon Targaryen paid Correy to kill Laenor so that he could free Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. He also offered Correy a boat ride out of Spicetown but had him killed and his body thrown away at sea instead.
