Grey Ghost, The Shy, Morning Mist Dragon

The Grey Ghost was the name given to a wild dragon on Dragonstone during the Dance of the Dragons.

Grey Ghost was a light gray-white color, like the color of mist in the morning. He was a very shy dragon who stayed away from people and what they do for many years. He got his name because he avoided people and could hide in clouds and mist.

How Grey Ghost Looks Like

Grey Ghost liked to eat fish and often flew low over the small sea, grabbing food from the water. He chose a hiding place in a smoking hole on the tall eastern slope of the Dragonmont. No one ever owned or rode him. He was one of the three wild dragons of Dragonstone, Sheepstealer, and the Cannibal.

Birth and a Brief History

During the Dance of the Dragons, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon looked for more people to ride dragons and fight against the greens. Some people looking for the Grey Ghost Dragon couldn’t find him because he was very hard to find. Alyn from Hull looked for Grey Ghost first, but then tried (and failed) to get Sheepstealer.

In 130 AC, the people on the Nessaria ship saw two dragons, Grey Ghost and another one, fighting in the sky above the Dragonmont. Grey Ghost was killed in the fight. When Ser Robert Quince learned about Grey Ghost’s death, he mistakenly thought the Cannibal was responsible. Sunfyre defeated and ate Grey Ghost when he came back to Dragonstone.
